EXTRACTING TROUBLE CODES USING VOLTMETER
1. Ignition switch ON (Do not start).
2. Connect the voltmeter to the data link connector (No. 1 pin).
3. Ground the L-wire (No.15) in the data link connector.
4. Output pattern shows on the voltmeter.
5. Read the output diagnostic trouble codes (DTC)s.
6. Identify the output DTCs in Trouble Code Descriptions and go to the appropriate component tests listed in the "Remedy" column.
7. Erase the diagnostic trouble code(s).
