Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
The manifold differential pressure sensor converts intake manifold pressure to voltage and inputs it to the engine control module. The engine control module uses this signal to gauge condition of the EGR system. If there is abnormal condition the malfunction indicator light is turned on to notify the driver.
