Temperature Sensor (Gauge): Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Drain the coolant down to sender level or below.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable and disconnect the engine harness connector from the sender.
3. Remove the sender.

INSTALLATION





1. Apply sealant to the threaded portion and tighten to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
Coolant temperature sender: 10-12 Nm (100-120 kg.cm, 7-9 ft. lbs.)
2. Connect the harness connector to the coolant temperature sender.
3. Connect the battery to ground cable.
4. Refill the system with clean coolant.
