CRASH PADCrash Pad:
REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Remove the steering wheel.
If remove the airbag module, refer to the Supplyment Restraint Systems section.
2. Remove the steering column lower and upper shroud.
3. Remove the crash pad lower cover.
4. Remove the multifunction switch.
Disconnect the connector.
5. Remove the cluster facia panel.
6. Remove the instrument cluster assembly and disconnect the connectors.
7. Remove the side facia panel and disconnect the mirror control connector.
8. Remove the hood release handle mounting screws.
9. Remove the rheostat.
10. Remove the console upper cover.
11. Remove the heater control cable.
12. Disconnect switch extension wire connector (white, 20 pin), air con switch connector, blower switch connector and vacuum connector, cigarette lighter connector.
13. Remove the center facia panel assembly.
14. Remove the console.
15. Remove the audio mounting screws (4EA) and then remove the audio.
16. Remove the glove box mounting screws and then remove the glove box assembly.
17. Remove the glove box striker mounting screws and then remove the glove box upper cover.
18. Detach the defroster nozzle from the main crash pad (Only passenger side).
19. Loosen the speedometer driven gear sleeve in the engine compartment and detach the speedometer cable adapter in the crash pad.
20. Disconnect the instrument wiring and passenger side airbag connector.
21. Remove the crash pad mounting bolts.
22. Remove the instrument connector, data link connector from the main crash pad.
23. Remove the ventilators from the main crash pad.
24. Remove the passenger air bag.
25. Remove the lower crash pad lower panel support bracket.
26. Remove the center facia panel support bracket.
27. Remove the glove box striker mounting bracket.
28. Installation is the reverse of removal and connect all connectors securely.
