CRASH PAD

Crash Pad:




COMPONENTS






CAUTION: When prying with a flat tip screwdriver, wrap it with a shop towel to prevent damage.

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and remove the airbag module or horn pad.






CAUTION:
1. Work must be started after approximately 30 seconds or longer from the time the ignition switch is turned to the LOCK position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
2. Before doing these procedures, see the SRS section for further information (SRS equipped vehicle only).

2. Remove the steering wheel, steering column upper shroud, steering column lower shroud.




3. Remove lower crash pad panel and disconnect the hood release cable and data link connector.




4. Remove the console switch mounting cover and console upper cover.




5. Remove the heater control, the center facia panel, the floor console.




6. Remove the audio unit.




7. Remove the glove box housing.




8. Remove the lower crash pad.




9. Remove the crash pad center panel.




10. Remove the cluster facia panel and instrument cluster.




11. Remove the front pillar trims.




12. Disconnect the connectors and remove the crash pad main.

13. Installation is the reverse of removal and connect all connectors securely.
