Timer/Control Unit: Testing and Inspection

ELECTRONIC TIME AND ALARM CONTROL MODULE

OPERATION CHECK OF COMPONENTS
While operating the components, check whether the operations are normal with timing chart.

ETACS FUNCTION




1. Variable intermittent wiper
Time specification
T1 : Max. 0.7 sec.
T2 : Time of wiper motor 1 rotation
T3 : Intermittent time
Min. 1.5 ± 0.7 sec. (at VR = 0 kohm)
Max. 10.5 ± 3 sec. (at VR = 50 kohm)




2. Washer
a. Time specification
T1 : 0.6 sec.
T2 : 2.5 - 3.8 sec.

b. This function should be operated preferentially even though the variable intermittent wiper is operating.




3. Rear window defogger
Time specification
T1: 20 ± 3 min




4. Seat belt warning
Time specification
T1, T2 : 6 ± 1 sec.
T3 : 0.3 ± 0.1 sec.




5. Ignition key hole illumination
Time specification
T1 : 10 ± 2 sec.
T2 : 0 - 10 sec.




6. Delayed out room lamp
Time specification
T1 : 2 ± 0.5 sec.
T2 : 4 ± 1 sec.
T3 : 0 - 6 sec.




7. Door warning
Time specification
T1, T2 : 0.3 ± 0.1 sec.




8. Ignition key reminder
Time specification
T1 : 5.0 sec.




9. Door key illumination
T1 : 10 sec.




10. Power window timer
Time specification
T1 : 30 ± 5 sec.




11. Central door lock/unlock (without burglar alarm)
Time specification
T : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.

12. Central door lock (unlock (with burglar alarm)




1. When using the door key
Time specification
T : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.




2. When using the door lock switch
Time specification
T : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.




3. When using the transmitter (TX)
Time specification
T : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.

ANTI-THEFT FUNCTION




1. Arm function
Time specification
T1 : 0.5 sec.
T2 : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.
T3 : Max. 2 sec.

2. Disarm function




1. In case of using the door key




2. In case of using the transmitter (TX) unlock button
T1 : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.
T2 : 1 ± 0.1 sec.

3. Alarm function




1. Time specification
T1 : 27 sec.
T2 : 10 sec.
T3 : 0.5 ± 0.1 sec.




2. Battery is separated during the alarm state.




3. New alarm occurs during the alarm state.




4. Disarmed with door key during the alarm state.




5. Disarmed with TX Transmitter during the alarm state.




6. TX lock button pressed when the door opened during the alarm state




7. Trunk is unlocked during the alarm state.

5. Code saving method




1. Remove the center facia panel.

NOTE: Don't disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.




2. To store new codes:
- Activate the keyless entry/receiver unit and change code saving switch of the receiver unit from "OFF" to "SET".
- The secret codes from the transmitter will be stored into the receiver unit when the door lock button or unlock button is pressed on the transmitter.
- Save the 2nd transmitter codes in the same manner.




3. Return the code saving switch of the receiver unit from "SET" to "OFF".
4. Install the center facia panel.
