Trunk / Liftgate: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION




1. Remove the trunk lid trim.




2. Remove the trunk lid latch and main wiring.

Tightening torque
7 - 11 Nm (70 - 110 kg.cm, 5.1 - 8.0 lb.ft)




3. Remove the trunk lid hinge mounting bolts and then remove trunk lid.

Tightening torque
7 - 11 Nm (70 - 110 kg.cm, 5.1 - 8.0 lb.ft)




4. Remove the torsion bar by using the torsion bar wrench (09861 - 22000) as shown in the illustration.
5. Installation is the reverse of removal.
