Assist Door Module - B1912 Outside Mirror Right horizontal Motor or Sensor W/Harness Inspection

Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?
YES
1) Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.






Signal Circuit Inspection

Check for open in harness
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect right outside mirror.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "B20" of ADM and terminal "12" of right outside mirror.

Specification : Approx. 0 Ohms





4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?





Check for short in harness
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect right outside mirror.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "12" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. Infinity Ohms





4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?






Power Supply Circuit Inspection

Motor Power circuit Inspection
1. Check for open in harness
(1) Ignition "OFF".
(2) Disconnect right outside mirror.
(3) Measure resistance between terminal "A2" of ADM and terminal "3" of left outside mirror.
(4) Measure resistance between terminal "A3" of ADM and terminal "2" of left outside mirror.

Specification : Approx. 0 Ohms





(5) Is the measured resistance within specifications?





2. Check for short in harness
(1) Ignition "OFF".
(2) Disconnect left outside mirror.
(3) Measure resistance between terminal "3" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.
(4) Measure resistance between terminal "2" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. Infinity Ohms





(5) Is the measured resistance within specifications?





Sensor Power circuit Inspection
1. Ignition "OFF"
2. Disconnect right outside mirror.
3. Measure voltage between terminal "9" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 5 V





4. Is the measured voltage within specifications?






Ground Circuit inspection

Check for open in harness
1. Ignition "OFF".
2. Disconnect right outside mirror.
3. Measure resistance between terminal "10" of right outside mirror and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 0 Ohms





4. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
