System Inspection

Purge Control Solenoid Valve (PCSV) Test
1. Disconnect hose at the PCSV on the fuel tank side.
2. With the GDS connected, select the "PCSV" parameter in "Current Data".
3. Connect GDS and select "PCSV" parameter on current data.
4. With the GDS, perform the "PCSV Actuation Test" while checking vacuum with finger over the port hole of the PCSV when the PCSV is ON (Open) and OFF (Closed).

Specification : PCSV ON : Vacuum (Full amount of vacuum flow)
PCSV OFF : No Vacuum

5. is the vacuum condition at the port normal?





Vapor Line Restriction Test
1. At the canister, remove the vapor line coupler.
2. Connect the GDS and select the "PCSV" parameter in "Current Data".
3. Engine "ON".
4. With the GDS, perform the "PCSV Actuation Test" while checking vacuum with finger over the end of the Vapor line when the PCSV is ON (Open) and OFF (Closed).

Specification : PCSV ON : Vacuum (Full amount of vacuum flow)
PCSV OFF : No Vacuum





5. Is the vacuum condition of the vapor line normal?
