Terminal & Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Resistance of CAN line Inspection

1. IG OFF
2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery.
3. Disconnected PSB LH connector
4. Measure a resistance between CAN LOW and CAN HIGH at PSB LH connector wire.

Specification : about 60 Ohms












5. Is the measured waveform within specifications?






Waveform of CAN line Inspection

1. IG OFF
2. Connected PSB LH connector
3. Connect the battery (-) terminal cable to the battery and Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
4. Measure waveforms between CAN LOW and CAN HIGH at PSB LH connector wire.

Specification : within specific












5. Is the measured waveform within specification?






CAN communication Inspection

1. IG OFF
2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery.
3. Disconnected as follow 15 modules PSB LH, PSB RH, TCM, ECM, VDC, SCC, Airbag ECU, EPB, Steering angle sensor, Cluster, LDWS, ECS, AFLS, Camera module, EHPS.
4. Measure a resistance between CAN LOW and CAN HIGH at PSB LH connector circuit.

Specification : Infinity Ohms












5. Is the measured resistance within specifications?
