C1346 Rear Low Frequency Initiator Channel Failure - General Information
Component Location
General Description
The TPMS is the acronym for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This system monitors the pressure of the tire and when it drops below a certain pressure, the TPMS ECU makes the warning lamp turn on for notifying the driver. This system consists of TPMS ECU (or TPMS Receiver), Initiators and TPMS sensors. Among components of TPMS system, the initiator is only applied to TPMS High specifications. And its role is to control each TPMS sensor via the low frequency. This initiator enable a driver to see which tire has a low pressure.
DTC Description
If the TPMS ECU sent the LF initiation command but it doesn't receive the RF messages from the sensor, this DTC is set.
