General Description

The TPMS is the acronym for Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This system monitors the pressure of the tire and when it drops below a certain pressure, the TPMS ECU makes the warning lamp turn on for notifying the driver. This system consists of TPMS ECU (or TPMS Receiver), Initiators and TPMS sensors. The TPMS ECU gets signals such as Tire pressure, Tire temperature, Battery status and Sensor ID via RF (Radio Frequency) at a frequency.

DTC Description

The TPMS ECU monitors the RF signals of the sensor and if no valid RF message is received from any sensor, this DTC is set.
