Electronic Hydraulic Power Steering System
C2418 Motor Stall - LH - General Information
Component Location
General Description
The EHPS (Electro Hydraulic Power Steering) system is to assist a driver's steering force by using a motor and making an oil pressure, not by engine power.
The MPU-Motor lets a hydraulic pump operate and makes a hydraulic pressure which is necessary for steering wheel's operation. It also controls the steering power according to vehicle speed.
The MPU ECU controls its motor speed with signals such as a vehicle speed and a steering angle sensor.
DTC Description
The MPU calculates a motor's RPM by measuring current and voltage at motor's revolution.
The MPU sets this code if a motor's RPM is lower than 120 RPM.
