STEERING WHEEL TRIM REPLACEMENT
Description:
This bulletin supersedes TSB 10-BD-006 The Steering Wheel does not need to be replaced if only the trim is damaged. This TSB also provides the procedure to replace the LH or RH trim pieces on the Steering Wheel Assembly and revises the previously published part numbers

Service Procedure:
1. a) Record radio presets and any address(es) stored.
b) Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
2. Press the (3) snap fit pin stoppers to remove the driver airbag module from the steering wheel.
3. Remove the wiring fixing clip (C) and disconnect the horn connector (A).
Release the connector locking pin then disconnect the driver airbag module connector (B).
4. a) Ensure the steering wheel is straight. Use a marker or felt pen and not the steering wheel alignment to the steering column shaft.
b) Remove lock nut (D) and then remove the steering wheel from the steering column shaft.
5. Loosen the (3) screws to remove the steering wheel cover (E).
6. Disconnect the steering wheel remote control switch connector (F).
7. Remove the trim mounting screw.
8. Use a trim tool to gently pry the trim trim away from the steering wheel assembly.
9. Disconnect the connector (H) and replace the trim.
10. a) Reassemble in reverse order of removal.
b) Confirm all steering wheel switches and horn operation.
c) Set radio presets clock and input previously stored address(es).
