Seat Temperature Switch: Testing and Inspection

Inspection

Driver
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the console upper cover (A) on the floor console and connectors after loosening the mounting clips.








3. If the switch assembly is abnormal, replace the seat heater switch module (A).





Rear Seat
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. Remove the arm rest and connector from the rear seat.




3. Remove the arm rest cover (A) after removing the screws.




4. Disconnect the arm rest connector (A).




5. Remove the seat heater switch (A) from arm rest cover after loosening the mounting screws.




6. If the switch assembly is abnormal, replace the seat heater switch module.

Seat Heater Inspection
1. Check for continuity and measure the resistance between No.1 and NO.3 terminals.





Standard value :
Driver/Assist (Cushion+Back) : 3.22Ohms ± 10%
Rear seat (Cushion+Back) : 4.54Ohms ± 10%

2. Operate the seat heater after connecting the 3P connector, and then check the seat heater by measuring the temperature of seat surface.
3. Check for continuity between the terminals after disconnecting the 3P connector.

Standard value :
Position1:Cushion=36±2°C(96.8±3.6°F),
Back=40±2°C (104±3.6°F)
Position2:Cushion=40±2°C(104±3.6°F),
Back=46±2°C (114.8±3.6°F)
Position3:Cushion=42±2°C(107.6±3.6°F),
Back=51 - 54°C (113.6 - 118°F)
