P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSORDescription
Electric throttle control actuator consists of throttle control motor, accelerator pedal position sensor, throttle position sensor, etc. The actuator transmits a signal to the ECM, and ECM transmits signals to TCM with CAN communication.

DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE
NOTE: If "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE" has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch OFF. Then wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
1. CHECK DTC DETECTION
With CONSULT-III
1. Start the engine and let it idle for 1 second.
2. Select "Self Diagnostic Results" mode for "TRANSMISSION".
Is "P1705 TP SEN/CIRC A/T" detected?
YES >> Go to "Diagnosis Procedure".
NO >> Check intermittent incident. Refer to GI-38, "Intermittent Incident". Service Information For Electrical Incident
Diagnosis Procedure
1. CHECK DTC OF ECM
With CONSULT-III
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Select "Self Diagnostic Results" mode for "ENGINE".
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> Check DTC detected item. Refer to EC-113, "CONSULT-III Function". CONSULT-III Function
2. CHECK DTC OF TCM
With CONSULT-III
Select "Self Diagnostic Results" mode for "TRANSMISSION".
Is any DTC other than "P1705 TP SEN/CIRC A/T" detected?
YES >> Check DTC detected item. Refer to TM-40, "CONSULT-III Function (TRANSMISSION)". Consult-III Function (Transmission)
NO >> GO TO 3.
3. CHECK TCM POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check TCM power supply and ground circuit. Refer to TM-89, "Diagnosis Procedure". Main Power Supply and Ground Circuit
Is the inspection result normal?
YES >> Replace the control valve with TCM.
NO >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
