NOTE: You will be applying either a 30 inches long tape strip to the front door, or a 24 inches long tape strip to the rear.
Figure 2:
1. Peel off the weatherstrip of the affected door so the range shown in Figure 2, above, is exposed.
2. Wipe clean the exposed weatherstrip channel and weatherstrip underside.
3. Apply 3M(TM) Adhesion Promoter P/N 06396 to the weatherstrip channel and weatherstrip underside.
4. Cut an appropriate length strip of Duck(R) Products Indoor/Outdoor Moisture Resistant double-sided Carpet Tape P/N 00-07196 to 1/2 inches (12.7 mm) width.
Figure 3:
5. Apply the tape you cut in step 4 into the appropriate weatherstrip door channel.

Figure 4:
NOTE: Figure 4 shows an enlarged cutaway view of correct weatherstrip (black) fit into the door channel (blue).
Figure 5:
6. Fit the weatherstrip ridge into the door channel (weatherstrip cut for illustration purposes only)
Figure 6:
7. While maintaining upward tension on the weatherstrip to keep it in the channel, use a plastic "finesse stick" or similar trim tool to push the other ridge over and into the J-shaped channel area.
Figure 7:
8. Using a plastic "finesse stick" or similar trim tool, push on the mid-section area to fully seat the weatherstrip.
Run your finger down this area to feel for any high spots. High spots will indicate where the weatherstrip ridge is not fully seated. Reseat as needed.
Figure 8:
9. Carefully lift the weatherstrip slightly to see if it is fully seated. Reseat as needed.
Figure 8 shows an OK condition.
Figure 9:
