A tonneau cover hinge needs to be replaced for any reason,

ACTIONS

Use the procedure in this bulletin to replace the hinge.

NOTE:
Do not replace the entire tonneau cover when only a hinge replacement is needed.

IMPORTANT:
The purpose of ACTIONS (above) is to give you a quick idea of the work you will be performing. You MUST closely follow the entire Service Procedure as it contains information that is essential to successfully completing this repair.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Remove the tonneau cover from the vehicle and place it on a clean work surface.

2. Keep the tonneau cover open / extended during this procedure.





3. On the back side of the hinge remove the felt tape shown in Figure 2.





4. Remove 4 screws.
^ 2 size M4, and 2 size M3.

5. Remove the cap.





6. Remove the hinge.

1st - twist the hinge as shown.

2nd - push the hinge off of the tonneau cover.

7. Install the new hinge in reverse of step 6.





8. Align screw holes and put the cap in place.

^ Use the new cap included in the kit.

^ Make sure the cap is facing in the correct direction as shown.





9. Install 4 new screws.

^ Use new screws included in the kit. 2 size M4 and 2 size M3.





10. Install new felt tape.

^ Align tape with edge shown.
