Removal and Installation

1. Remove propeller shaft. Plug rear end of transmission rear extension housing.
2. Remove driveshafts, then the mounting bolts.
3. Support final drive with suitable jack. Remove from vehicle by moving backwards and lowering.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque propeller shaft mounting flange bolts to 29-33 ft. lbs.
b. Torque Center support mounting bracket to 19-20 ft. lbs.
