Solar Sensor: Testing and Inspection

SUNLOAD SENSOR
The sunload sensor is located on the right defroster grille. It detects sunload entering through windshield by means of a photo diode. The sensor converts the sunload into a current value which is then input to the auto amplifier.

When checking sunload sensor, select a place where sun shines directly on it. Measure resistance of sensor according to the chart.






Measure voltage between terminals 16 and 35 at vehicle harness side, using the table below.
