Refer to SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS/ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC DIAGRAMS for system schematic and system wiring diagram.

1. When repairing ``Airbag'' check for the following:
a. Check control unit, then connect CONSULT tool and erase memory. However, the memory may not cleared.
b. Check ``Airbag'' warning lamp, then turn driver's door switch On and Off five times within seven seconds after ignition switch turned On. Perform this procedure twice.
c. If airbag warning lamp comes on continuously, replace control unit.

2. Remove deployed airbag module.
3. Check SRS components as shown in Fig. 8.
4. If SRS components show any visible damage such as dents, cracks, or deformation, replace as necessary.
5. Conduct self-diagnosis using CONSULT tool or ``Airbag'' warning lamp to ensure entire SRS operates properly except open circuit of airbag module.
6. Install new airbag module.
