The warning lamp on the instrument panel will come on when a problem is detected in the ABS braking system. To obtain a self diagnosing result the vehicle must be driven for at least one minute at a minimum speed of 20 mph before self diagnosis is obtained. After vehicle is stopped, the number of LED flashes is counted with the engine running, Fig. 9.

The LED, which is located in the control unit identifies a problem by the number of flashes, Fig. 10. The LED and warning lamp will stay activated, even after malfunction has been repaired until ignition is turned Off. After repairs are made, start engine and drive vehicle for at least one minute at a speed of 20 mph or faster to ensure malfunction has been repaired. If more then two circuit malfunction at one time, the LED will flash one problem at a time. After the first malfunction has been repaired, the LED will then flash the second malfunction.
