Charging System: Testing and Inspection
Charging System Diagnosis:
NOTE: Before conducting an alternator test, make sure that the battery is fully charged. A 30-volt voltmeter and suitable test probes are necessary for the test.
TIP: Before starting trouble-shooting, inspect the fusible link.
1. Use fully charged battery.
2. Light: Charge warning light
ACG : Alternator parts except IC regulator
IC-RG : IC regulator
OK : IC-alternator is in good condition.
3. If "Damaged ACG", remove alternator from vehicle disassemble, inspect and correct or replace faulty parts.

Gasoline Engine Model
- Contact tip of wire with brush and attach wire to alternator body.
5. Terminals "S", "L", "B" and "E" are marked on rear cover of alternator.
