Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair

1. Disarm airbag system as described, refer to Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems)/Service and Repair.
2. Remove steering column covers and steering column retaining bolts, Fig. 1.
3. Remove front pillar trim and lower instrument panel covers.
4. Remove cluster lid and combination meter.
5. Remove heater control bezel and cluster lid C.
6. Remove radio and A/C heater control.
7. Remove glove box lower panel and glove box.
8. Remove instrument panel reinforcement bracket and automatic transmission shift lever cover.
9. Remove floor console box.
10. Remove defroster grille and sensors.
11. Remove hood lock cable bracket and rear heater ducts.
12. Remove fuse box and disconnect S.M.J.
13. Remove combination switch and instrument panel retaining screw caps.
14. Remove instrument panel retaining screws, then the instrument panel.
15. Reverse procedure to install.
