Component Inspection
Crankshaft Position Sensor:
1. Remove crankshaft position sensor from engine. (Crankshaft position sensor harness connector should remain connected.)
2. Turn ignition switch "ON".
3. Rotate crankshaft position sensor shaft slowly by hand and check voltage between terminals:
- (1) and ground.
- (2) and ground.
Voltage Readings
Pin terminal 1. (1° signal) fluctuating between 5 Volts and 0 Volts.
Pin terminal 2. (120° signal) fluctuating between 5 Volts and 0 Volts.
If Not Good, replace crankshaft position sensor.
NOTE: After this inspection, Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) No.11 might be displayed though the crankshaft position sensor is functioning properly. In this case erase the stored memory.
