Fuel Tank: Service and Repair

Fuel Pump Fuse Location:

REMOVAL
1. Remove the fuel pump fuse.
2. Turn the ignition key to the start position for approximately 15 seconds (this will release the fuel pressure).

Fuel Tank Tube Routing:

3. Remove the front trunk finisher.
4. Disconnect all connectors and tubes.

Fuel Tank Removal And Replacement:

5. Remove the cover and grommet from the fuel filler neck area.
6. Disconnect and plug the drain hose.

Fuel Tank Removal And Replacement:

7. Remove the filler tube from the tank and the two tank straps.
8. Remove the fuel tank from the trunk.


INSTALLATION
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

Fuel Tank Removal And Replacement:

NOTE: Remember to perform the following steps.
- Install the tank straps in the proper location. They are marked "BL" for back-left and "BR" for back-right.
- Re-install the fuel pump fuse.
- Check for leaks and idle/driveability quality when you are done.
