SERVICE INFORMATION
To address potential intermittent periods of hot and humid air during "Auto" A/C operation, the following improvements to the A/C system have been made:
1. Set values" of the expansion valve.
2. Revised control logic for the air mix actuator.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
If this incident occurs, remove and replace the parts required below (see table) by matching the incident vehicles VIN. When replacing the expansion valve, remember to insulate the valve assembly using A/C thermal tape. The tape will insulate the expansion valve for thermal operation and also reduce the audible hiss. The thermal tape is usually available at any local A/C part/service shop.
