Fuel Temperature Sensor: Description and Operation

Fuel Temperature Sensor Location:

PURPOSE
To provide the Engine Control Module (ECM) with an electrical signal which corresponds to changes in fuel temperature.

OPERATION
The fuel temperature sensor signals the ECM when the fuel temperature is over a specific level. The ECM will then turn on the Pressure Regulator Vacuum Relief (PRVR) control solenoid valve to raise the fuel pressure.
