Headlamp: Adjustments

When performing headlamp aiming adjustment, use an aiming machine, aiming wall screen or headlamp tester. For operating instructions of any aimer, it should be in good repair, calibrated and used according to respective operation manuals supplied with the unit.

If any aimer is not available, aiming adjustment can be done as follows:
a. Keep all tires inflated to correct pressures.
b. Place vehicle and tester on one and same fiat surface.
c. See that there is no-load in vehicle (coolant, engine oil filled up to correct level and full fuel tank) other than the driver (or equivalent weight placed In driver's position).

Aimer Adjustment Mark:




When using a mechanical aimer, adjust adapter legs to the data marked on the headlamps.

Example:
4H2V
Vertical side: 2
Horizontal side: 4

Low Beam:




1. Turn headlamp low beam on.

2. Use adjusting screws to perform aiming adjustment.

^ First tighten the adjusting screw all the way and then make adjustment by loosening the screw.

Low Beam:




^ Adjust headlamps so that upper edge and left edge of high intensity zone are within the acceptable range as shown at left.
