Acceleration Cut Control System (ACC)

Acceleration Cut Control Input/Output Line:

PURPOSE
The Acceleration Cut Control (ACC) system is used to improve engine operation by disengaging the Air Conditioning Compressor when the throttle valve is at Wide Open Throttle (WOT).

OPERATION
When the ECCS Control Module senses that the throttle valve fully depressed, via the throttle sensor, it opens the ground circuit to the A/C relay. This cuts voltage to the A/C clutch.
