Sub-Camshaft Position Sensor

1994 Q45 CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR
APPLIED VIN:
With full-active suspension, JNKNG01DXRM263359
Without full-active suspension, JNKNG01DXRM263418

APPLIED DATE:
From November 1993 production

SERVICE INFORMATION:
The sub-camshaft position sensor (built into the camshaft position sensor) has been eliminated beginning with the applied VINs. Therefore, the sub-camshaft position sensor information will not be applicable on these models.

Camshaft Position Sensor:




1. Remove the Camshaft Position Sensor from the engine. Leave distributor harness CONNECTED.
2. Disconnect all of the ignition wires from the distributor cap and turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Using a volt meter set in 100mV range, check voltage between terminal A and B-(ground), while rotating it slowly by hand.
Tester pointer deflects: OK
Tester pointer DOES NOT deflect: NG
4. If NG, replace Camshaft Position Sensor

NOTE: This test may set Code 11. Be sure to clear the ECCS Control Module's memory after repairs are finished.
