Using Warning Lamp


Entering Self-Diagnostic Mode

1. Turn ignition switch ON. Do not start engine.
2. Set height control switch from N to H. Repeat at least ten times within ten seconds after turning ignition switch on. Return control switch to N.
3. After all self-diagnostic requirements are met, the active suspension warning lamp flashes and self-diagnosis begins.
4. If more than two systems are faulty, only one is indicated in order of priority. The warning lamp may remain on depending upon types of abnormalities. In this case, conduct self-diagnosis using CONSULT tool.

Reading Indications

1. Read both tens and unit digits from number of flashes on warning lamp. For example: if code 21 is indicated, the lamp will flash twice quickly, followed by a pause, followed by one flash. Refer to Fig. 18.
2. Determine location of fault in accordance with malfunction code table, Fig. 19.
3. Refer to electrical diagnostic procedures and hydraulic system diagnostic procedures, refer to DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS after determining location of fault.

Clearing Self-Diagnostic Mode

Self-diagnostic modes can be cleared using one of the following methods.
1. Set height control switch from N to H while a self-diagnosis is being conducted.
2. Wait approximately five minutes after setting in the self-diagnosis mode.
3. Turn ignition switch OFF.

Clearing Self-Diagnostic Results
A faulty system indication is not cleared even after the system has been repaired. To clear indication, use one of following methods.
1. Set self-diagnostic mode as described above.
2. Repeatedly depress and release foot brake at least five times within ten seconds.
3. In cases where more than one fault code is set, repaired systems will be cleared. Any other fault will still be displayed when self-diagnosis is performed again.
