Idle/Throttle Speed Control Unit: Description and Operation

The Idle Air Control Valve unit is made up of the IACV-AAC valve, IACV-FICD solenoid valve and idle adjusting screw. It receives the signal from the ECM and controls the idle speed at the preset value. The IACV-FICD solenoid valve compensates for changes in idle speed caused by the operation of the air compressor.
