1993-97 J30 WINDSHIELD WIPER BLADE REFILL INSTALLATION

SERVICE INFORMATION

When installing Genuine Infiniti windshield wiper blade refill(s) on a J30, use the following procedure. If wiper blade refills are not installed according to the procedure listed below, the wiper blade refill can separate from the wiper arm and the wiper arm can contact and damage the windshield glass.

1. Confirm that the new wiper blade refills are the correct length (525 mm for the drivers side wiper arm and 500 mm for the passenger side wiper arm).





2. Remove and discard the securing clips from the new wiper blade refills (see Figure 1).





3. Insert the end of the wiper blade refill, that does not have securing slots, through the second mounting stay of the wiper arm (see Figure 2).

NOTE:
Do not insert the wiper blade refill through the first mounting stay of the wiper arm at this time.

4. Continue to insert the wiper blade refill through the remaining wiper arm mounting stays.





5. Insert the end of the wiper blade refill, that has securing slots, into the first wiper arm mounting stay. The first mounting stay must lock into the first securing slot (the slot closest to the end of the refill) of the wiper blade refill (see Figure 3).

6. Inspect the wiper blade refills and make sure they pass through all the wiper arm mounting stays and that the first wiper arm stay is securely locked into the first wiper blade securing slot.
