REMOVAL
1. Drain coolant from the drain cocks on both sides of the cylinder block and radiator.
2. Remove the fan coupling with fan.
3. Loosen the drive belts.
4. Remove the water pump.
NOTE:
^ When removing water pump assembly, be careful not to get coolant on drive belt.
^ Water pump cannot be disassembled and should be replaced as a unit.
INSTALLATION
1. Use a scraper to remove old liquid gasket from water pump. Also, remove traces of liquid gasket from the mating surface of cylinder block.
2. Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket to the mating surface of water pump. Use Genuine Liquid Gasket, or equivalent.
3. After installing water pump, connect hoses and clamp securely, then check for leaks using a radiator cap tester.
