All Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) harnesses and connectors are covered with yellow outer insulation and related components are located in the steering column, center console, instrument panel, upper radiator core support and at the front fenders. Do not use electrical equipment on these circuits, as accidental deployment or personal injury may result.
1. The following system performance test must be performed as follows:
a. Vehicle must be parked indoors or in the shade and in a well ventilated area.
b. Doors must be closed, windows and hood open.
c. Temperature P.T.C switch must be set to maximum cold.
d. Mode switch set to ventilation.
e. REC switch set.
f. Fan switch set at maximum position.
g. Engine speed at 1500 RPM.

2. The time required to start the test after the air conditioner starts operating should exceed 10 minutes.
3. Refer to Fig. 1, for recirculating to discharge air temperature readings and Fig. 4 for ambient air temperature to compressor pressure test readings.
