Washer Operation

With the ignition switch in the ACC or ON position, power is supplied
^ Through 2O A fuse (No. (6) located in the fuse block)
^ To washer motor terminal (1).
When the lever is pulled to the WASH position, ground is supplied
^ To washer motor terminal (2), and
^ To time control unit terminal (13)
^ From terminal (18) of the wiper switch
^ Through terminal (17) of the wiper switch, and
^ Through body grounds (E10) and (E33).
With power and ground supplied, the washer motor operates.
Wiper motor will then operate at low speed for approximately 3 seconds to clean windshield. This feature is controlled by the time control unit in the same manner as the intermittent operation.
