With Manual Transaxle
Fig. 1 Engine Mounts:
Refer to Fig. 1, for engine removal.
1. Relieve fuel system pressure as outlined under Technician Safety Information.
2. Disconnect battery ground cable.
3. Remove engine undercover and hood.
4. Drain coolant from both sides of engine block and radiator.
5. Disconnect all vacuum hoses, fuel lines, electrical connectors and necessary harnesses.
6. Disconnect front exhaust tubes, ball joints and drive shafts.
7. Remove drive belts.
8. Remove alternator and power steering pump.
9. Remove A/C compressor without disconnecting pressure lines, position aside.
10. Set a suitable transmission jack under engine/transaxle and hoist engine using engine slingers.
11. Remove rear engine mounting.
12. Disconnect control rod and support rod frrom transaxle.
13. Remove front engine mounting.
14. Remove center member and slowly lower engine/transaxle with transmission jack.
