Map Light: Description and Operation
Power is supplied at all times^ through 7.5 A fuse (No. (23) located in the fuse block [J/B])
^ to footwell lamp (driver side) terminal (2),
^ to footwell lamp (passenger side) terminal (2),
^ to step lamp (driver side) terminal (1),
^ to step lamp (passenger side) terminal (1),
^ to trunk room lamp terminal (1),
^ to rear step lamp LH terminal (1),
^ to rear step lamp RH terminal (1),
^ to interior lamp terminal (1),
^ to spot lamp terminal (1),
^ to vanity mirror illumination (driver side) terminal (1),
^ to vanity mirror illumination (passenger side) terminal (1), and
^ to rear door switch relay terminal (2).
With a switch ON, power is supplied
^ to spot lamp,
^ to vanity mirror lamp (driver side) and
^ to vanity mirror lamp (passenger side).
Ground is supplied
^ to spot lamp terminal (2),
^ to vanity mirror illumination (driver side) terminal (2) and
^ to vanity mirror lamp (passenger side) terminal (2)
^ through body grounds (M14) and (M68).
Also, when lighting switch is moved to 1ST or 2ND position, ground is supplied
^ to spot lamp terminal (3)
^ through lighting switch terminal (5)
^ to lighting switch terminal (6)
^ through body grounds (E15) and (E37).
With power and ground supplied, the lamp turns on.
