Replacement

CAUTION: Before removing the final drive assembly, disconnect the ABS sensor from the assembly. Then move it away from the final drive assembly. Failure to do so may result in damaging the sensor wires and the sensor becoming inoperative.

REMOVAL
1. Remove propeller shaft.
2. Insert plug into rear oil seal after removing propeller shaft.
3. Remove drive shafts.





4. Pull off final drive backward together with jack.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage spline, sleeve yoke and front oil seal, when removing propeller shaft.

5. After removal, support suspension member on a stand to prevent its insulators from being twisted or damaged.





INSTALLATION
- Reverse the removal procedure to install. Fill final drive with recommended gear oil.
