Wiper and Washer Systems: Testing and Inspection
1. Turn ignition switch "OFF".
2. Connect "CONSULT" to data link connector.
3. Turn ignition switch "ON".
4. Touch "START".
5. Touch "IVMS".
6. Touch "WIPER".
^ DATA MONITOR and ACTIVE TEST are available for the wiper and washer.
WORK FLOW
NOTE:
^ When LCU connectors are disconnected for more than 1 minute such as during trouble diagnoses, the "disconnected" data will be memorized by the BCM. (While BCM memorizes the "disconnected" data, IVMS communication diagnosis of CONSULT will display "PAST NO RESPONSE".) Therefore, after reconnecting the LCU connectors, erase the memory.
^ To erase the memory, perform the procedure below.
Erase the memory with CONSULT (Refer to EL-207.) or turn the ignition switch to "OFF" position and remove 7.5 A fuse [No. [14] located in the fuse block (J/B)].

Diagnostic Procedure 2 Symptom: Intermittent time of wiper cannot be adjusted
Diagnostic Procedure 3 Symptom: Wiper and washer activate individually but not in combination
Diagnostic Procedure 4 Symptom: Intermittent wiper operates, but there is no change in intermittent time between when vehicle is stopped and moving
Diagnostic Procedure 5 Symptom: Wiper and washer activate individually but intermittent wiper and washer combination does not operate.
