Torque Specifications


























Tighten The Camshaft Brackets In The Following Steps:













Tightening procedure:
a. Tighten all bolts to 98.1 Nm (10 kg-m, 72 ft. lbs.).
b. Completely loosen all bolts.
c. Tighten all bolts to 34 to 44 Nm (3.5 to 4.5 kg-m, 25 to 33 ft. lbs.)
d. Turn all bolts 90 to 95 degrees clockwise.
e. Turn all bolts an additional 90 to 95 degrees clockwise.
Tighten in numerical order shown in the image.










Rocker cover tightening procedure:
a. Tighten in numerical order as shown in the image.
a. Tighten bolts (1) to (10) in that order to 1 to 3 Nm (0.1 to 0.3 kg-m, 9 to 26 inch lbs.).
c. Tighten bolts (1) to (10) as indicated in image to 5.4 to 7.4 Nm (0.55 to 0.75 kg-m, 47.7 to 65.1 inch lbs.).



























Install crankshaft pulley to crankshaft.
Lubricate thread and seat surface of the bolt with new engine oil.

a. Tighten to 39 to 49 Nm (4.0 to 5.0 kg-m, 29 to 36 ft. lbs.).
b. Put a paint mark on the crankshaft pulley.
c. Again tighten by turning 60° to 66°, about the angle from one hexagon bolt head corner to another.












After installing crankshaft, main bearing cap, main bearing beam and bearing cap bolts, tighten bearing cap bolts in numerical order.
Tightening procedure

1. Tighten all bolts to 32 to 38 Nm (3.3 to 3.9 kg-m, 24 to 28 ft. lbs.).
2. Turn all bolts 90 to 95 degrees clockwise with angle wrench.
