Hazard Warning Lamps: Description and Operation

System Description

HAZARD LAMP OPERATION
Power is supplied at all times to hazard switch terminal 3 through:
- 10 A fuse [No.20, located in the fuse block (J/B)].

With the hazard switch in the ON position, power is supplied
- through terminal 1 of the hazard switch
- to combination flasher unit terminal 1
- through terminal 3 of the combination flasher unit
- to hazard switch terminal 4.

Ground is supplied to combination flasher unit terminal 2 through body grounds M15, M71 and M76.

Power is supplied through terminal 5 of the hazard switch to
- front turn signal lamp LH terminal 1
- side turn signal lamp LH terminal 1
- combination meter terminal 30
- rear combination lamp LH terminal 1.

Power is supplied through terminal 6 of the hazard switch to
- front turn signal lamp RH terminal 1
- side turn signal lamp RH terminal 1
- combination meter terminal 28
- rear combination lamp RH terminal 1.

Ground is supplied to terminal 2 of each front turn signal lamp through body grounds E9 and E28. Ground is supplied to terminal 2 of each side turn signal lamp through body grounds E9 and E28. Ground is supplied to terminal 2 of each rear combination lamp through body grounds T6 and T7. Ground is supplied to combination meter terminal 27 through body grounds M15, M71 and M76. With power and ground supplied, the combination flasher unit controls the flashing of the hazard warning lamps.

MULTI-REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION
Power is supplied at all times
- through 10 A fuse [No.20, located in the fuse block (J/B)]
- to multi-remote control relay terminals 1, 3 and 6.

Ground is supplied to multi-remote control relay terminal 2, when the multi-remote control system is triggered through the smart entrance control unit.

Refer to "MULTI-REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM".

The multi-remote control relay is energized.

Power is supplied through terminal 7 of the multi-remote control relay
- to front turn signal lamp LH terminal 1
- side turn signal lamp LH terminal 1
- to combination meter terminal 30
- to rear combination lamp LH terminal 1.

Power is supplied through terminal 5 of the multi-remote control relay
- to front turn signal lamp RH terminal 1
- side turn signal lamp RH terminal 1
- to combination meter terminal 28
- to rear combination lamp RH terminal 1.

Ground is supplied to terminal 2 of each front turn signal lamp through body grounds E9 and E28.

Ground is supplied to terminal 2 of each side turn signal lamp through body grounds E9 and E28.

Ground is supplied to terminal 2 of each rear combination lamp through body grounds T6 and T7.

Ground is supplied to combination meter terminal 27 through body grounds M15, M71 and M76.

With power and ground supplied, the smart entrance control unit controls the flashing of the hazard warning lamps.
