Recall 03V098000: Alloy Wheel Casting Defect

DEFECT: On certain passenger vehicles equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, the wheels may have a casting defect from which cracks could propagate as the vehicle is being driven. If a sufficient number of cracks develop, the wheel could fail and separate from the mounting hub, increasing the risk of a crash.


REMEDY: Dealers will replace these wheels. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification began April 28, 2003. Owners may contact Nissan at 1-800-647-7261.
