Tail Lamp: Service and Repair

REAR COMBINATION LAMP




1. Remove the trunk side finisher. Refer to EI-41, "TRUNK ROOM TRIM & TRUNK LID FINISHER" in "EXTERIOR & INTERIOR (EI)".
2. Turn the bulb socket counterclockwise and unlock it.
3. Remove the bulb.

Stop/Tail lamp (outer.inner side) : 12 V 21/5 W
Rear turn signal lamp : 12 V 21 W (amber)
Buck-up lamp : 12 V 18 W

Removal




1. Remove the trunk side finisher. Refer to EI-41, "TRUNK ROOM TRIM & TRUNK LID FINISHER" in "EXTERIOR & INTERIOR (EI)".
2. Disconnect the rear combination lamp connector.
3. Remove the rear combination lamp mounting nuts.
4. Pull the rear combination lamp toward rear of the vehicle and remove from the vehicle.
5. Remove the seal packing from the vehicle.

Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal, taking care of the following points.
- Install a new seal packing to the rear combination lamp.

CAUTION: Seal packing cannot be reused.

Rear combination lamp mounting nut:
Tightening Torque : 2.5 - 3.8 N.m (0.26 - 0.38 kg-m, 23 - 33 in-lb)
