Expansion ValveREMOVAL
1. Set the temperature at 18 °C (60 °F) and then disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Remove cowl top cover.
3. Using a refrigerant collecting equipment (for HFC-134a) to discharge the refrigerant.
4. Remove low-pressure pipe 2 and high-pressure pipe 2. Refer to "Low-Pressure Pipe 2 and High-Pressure Pipe 2".
5. Remove expansion valve.
INSTALLATION
Expansion valve mounting bolts
Tightening torque : 2.9 - 4.9 Nm (0.29 - 0.50 kg-m, 26 - 43 in-lb)
Bolt mounting low-pressure pipe 2 and high-pressure pipe 2
Tightening torque : 2.9 - 5.9 Nm (0.29 - 0.60 kg-m, 26 - 52 in-lb)
CAUTION:
- Replace O-rings with new ones, then apply compressor oil to them when installing them.
- The O-rings are different from low-pressure pipe 1 (high-pressure pipe 1) and low-pressure pipe 2 (high-pressure pipe 2).
- When recharging refrigerant, check for leaks.
