CLAIMS INFORMATION

Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the claims coding shown.

NOTE:
The PBC Grease will service multiple vehicles, and is considered a shop supply - do NOT submit this grease on your claim.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Verify the incident by a test drive. Drive the vehicle as described in the IF YOU CONFIRM section of this bulletin.

2. On both front brakes replace the one outer front brake shim (see Figure 2) on each side with the one from the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin.

For more information on how to do this see the BR section/FRONT DISC BRAKE/Removal and Installation of Brake Pad in the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM).

NOTES:
^ Follow all CAUTIONS in the ESM procedure when removing and replacing brake pads.
^ Use an environmentally appropriate Nissan Brake Cleaner (consult local environmental regulations to decide which brake cleaner to use) to remove the old PBC grease and/or brake dust from the "torque member."
^ Be sure to apply PBC Grease (Nissan P/N 99990-00939P) to the back of the pads and both sides of the shims. DO NOT GET ANY PBC GREASE ON THE BRAKE PAD FRICTION SURFACES.

3. Repeat the test drive. Drive the vehicle as described in the IF YOU CONFIRM section on of this bulletin to verify the symptom is reduced.
