Diagnostic Strategies

Work Flow

1. Check the symptom and customer's requests.
2. Understand the system description.
3. Perform the preliminary check. Refer to "Preliminary Check". Initial Inspection (Preliminary Check)
4. Perform the communication diagnosis.
With CONSULT-II, Refer to SE-40, "IVMS Communication Diagnosis". IVMS Communication Inspection
Without CONSULT-II, refer to SE-47, "COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSIS". Communication Diagnosis Procedure
Is the communication diagnosis result OK?
If OK, GO TO 7.
If NG, GO TO 5.

5. Repair or replace depending on the diagnosis result.
6. Perform the communication diagnosis again.
With CONSULT-II, refer to SE-40, "IVMS Communication Diagnosis". IVMS Communication Inspection
Without CONSULT-II, refer to SE-47, "COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSIS". Communication Diagnosis Procedure
Is the communication diagnosis result OK?
If OK, GO TO 7.
If NG, GO TO 5.

7. Perform the self-diagnosis.
With CONSULT-II, refer to SE-43, "SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS". IVMS Operation Procedure
Without CONSULT-II, refer to SE-51, "ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS FOR AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSITIONER". On Board Diagnosis For Automatic Drive Positioner
Is the self-diagnosis result OK?
If OK, GO TO 11.
If NG, GO TO 8.

8. Repair or replace depending on the self-diagnosis result.
9. Perform the self-diagnosis again.
With CONSULT-II, refer to SE-43, "SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS". IVMS Operation Procedure
Without CONSULT-II, refer to SE-51, "ON BOARD DIAGNOSIS FOR AUTOMATIC DRIVE POSITIONER". On Board Diagnosis For Automatic Drive Positioner
Is the self-diagnosis result OK?
If OK, GO TO 11.
If NG, GO TO 8.

10. Based on the trouble diagnosis chart, repair or replace the cause of the malfunction. Refer to "Symptom Chart".
11. Does the automatic drive positioned system operate normally?
If it is normal, GO TO 12.
If it is not normal, GO TO 4.

12. Inspection end.
