Charge Lamp/Indicator: Description and Operation

CHARGE WARNING LAMP
During prove out or when an alternator malfunction occurs, ground is supplied
- to combination meter terminal 13
- from alternator terminal 3

When power and ground are supplied, the charge warning lamp and brake lamp illuminate.

MALFUNCTION
The IC regulator warning function activates to illuminate CHARGE warning lamp, if any of the following symptoms occur while alternator is operating:
- Excessive voltage is produced.
- No voltage is produced.
