^ This will protect the buttons from being scratched.

b. Carefully insert a 90° "pick" or "hook" tool in the gap at the bottom of the faceplate (between the paper and the faceplate).

c. Use the pick tool to carefully pull the faceplate loose from the finisher.

NOTE:
The faceplate is held on with double-sided tape.

d. Carefully work the pick tool across the bottom of the faceplate pulling it loose.

^ Make sure you keep the paper in place to protect the preset buttons.

e. Use your fingers to work around the sides of the faceplate and carefully pull it completely loose.

NOTE:
You may find it necessary to pull DOWN on the faceplate to make a gap at the top and then carefully use the pick tool to pull the top of the faceplate loose.

CAUTION:
Don't scratch or mark the finisher.

2. Use your fingers to remove any double-sided tape that stays on the finisher (see Figure 5).

Don't use any chemicals (i.e. brake cleaner alcohol soap etc) to clean the tape adhesion area.

3. Install the new faceplate as follows (see Figure 6):

a. Remove the double-sided tape backing from the new faceplate.

b. Place the top edge of the faceplate against the top edge of the finisher.

c. Center the faceplate (left to right).

d. Evenly press the faceplate into position.

e. Hold pressure on the faceplate for 10 seconds to make sure the double sided tape is tightly attached.
